Allergic Conjunctivitis
This illness is characterized by the swelling of the ocular conjunctiva and can be brought about by different causes: pollen, dust, and fungus are some of the causes of this disease. Smoke, chemical vapors, solvents, contact lenses and pollution can exasperate the problem. Clinically it appears as a small pain with swelling, constant tearing, and light sensitivity.
Bacterial Conjunctivitis
It is the swelling and infection of the conjunctiva caused by bacteria. The symptoms can be pain, eye strain, sensitivity to the light, constant tearing along with red eye and mucus secretion.
Viral Conjunctivitis
This illness is commonly associated with the common cold or flue. The most frequent cause is a virus called Adenovirus. This virus is extremely contagious and can be passed quickly from person to person and can even be responsible for conjunctivitis epidemic. |
